Job Description:

Join our Finance team as a Credit Controller responsible for analysing client financials, setting credit ceilings, and negotiating terms to balance sales growth with risk. You’ll monitor billing, chase overdue invoices, reconcile discrepancies, and escalate issues when necessary. Provide management with trend-driven credit insights. Requires Bachelor’s, 5+ years in credit control, excellent analytical and communication skills, and MS Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct credit risk assessment and analyse financial statements.
• Set & review credit limits, negotiate & establish credit terms with clients.
• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing & monitor billing process.
• Manage & reduce outstanding dept and contact customers to arrange timely payment.
• Enforce credit policies and procedures & recommend updates to credit policies.
• Maintain regular communication with customers & response promptly to their inquiries.
• Present and  prepare credit reports & provide insights into credit trends.
• Reconcile customer payments, investigate and resolve discrepancies in payment record.
• Initiate legal proceedings to recover outstanding debts and collaborate with legal agencies.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records of customer interactions and payment details.
• Generate, analyse reports &  provide regular update to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5 years or more of experience in credit control or a similar role.
• Knowledge of credit risk assessment, debt collection, and credit laws.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
