Job Description:

The cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the designated areas of the site, ensuring a safe, hygienic and presentable environment for clients. The role involves routine cleaning duties, such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming.

Cleaning and Sanitizing:

• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors in all designated areas.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces such as desks, countertops, windowsills and furniture.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring proper hygiene standards are maintained.
• Empty trash cans and dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors to ensure they are streak-free and spotless.
• Clean kitchen or break areas, including sinks, counters and appliances.

Stocking and Supplies Management:

• Monitor and report on cleaning supply levels, ordering new stock when necessary.
• Ensure that cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
• Replenish paper products (toilet paper, paper towels) and soap in restrooms.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Follow health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and products.
• Use appropriate signage to alert others about wet floors or cleaning in progress.

General Maintenance Support:.

• Report any maintenance issues (e.g., broken equipment, leaks) to the supervisor.
• Assist with special cleaning tasks as needed (e.g., carpet cleaning, deep cleaning).

Customer and Staff Interaction:

• Be friendly and courteous to clients while performing cleaning duties.
• Maintain a professional and approachable appearance at all times.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a cleaner or in a similar role (preferred).
• Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina and strength to carry out cleaning duties.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.

Working Conditions:

• Hours may vary depending on business needs (morning, evening, or weekend shifts).
• May be required to work in different environments such as offices, restrooms, kitchens, or public areas.
• Physical demands include standing, bending, lifting, and carrying cleaning equipment and supplies.
